Help with public speaking nerves
There is usually a date in the diary. That makes this one of the most focused pieces of work in the practice.

The event dictates the plan
A best man's speech, a board presentation, a viva, a job interview, a eulogy β each has a different shape and a different fear. The plan is built backwards from the date and rehearsed to it.
- Voice shaking or drying up
- Blank mind mid-sentence
- Visible blushing or sweating
- Days of dread beforehand, days of replay afterwards
Rehearsal in a regulated state
Hypnotic rehearsal runs the room, the walk up, the first sentence and the recovery from a stumble. By the real event, your nervous system has already done it several times without incident.
If a past humiliation started it
Where the fear traces to a specific event β a school assembly, a meeting that went badly β that memory is processed first, because rehearsing over the top of an unprocessed memory rarely holds.
Common questions
How late can I book before my event?+
Two weeks is workable for a single speech. Earlier gives more room, especially if there is an old memory in play.
Will I be relaxed or just faking calm?+
The aim is genuinely lower arousal, not a performance of calm. Some adrenaline is useful and is kept.
Can this be done online?+
Yes, and for presentation work online can be an advantage since we rehearse in the setting you will actually use.
