What integrative psychotherapy means here

Different problems need different tools. Trauma often needs EMDR. Habits and beliefs shift faster under hypnosis. Grief and identity work often need talking. As a BSc (Hons) Counsellor & Psychotherapist, James combines these so the therapy fits you rather than the other way round.

Frequently asked questions

How is psychotherapy different from counselling?+

Counselling tends to be shorter and focused on current concerns; psychotherapy usually goes deeper into patterns, identity and unresolved material. Both are offered here β€” we'll match the depth to what you need.

Do I need a diagnosis or referral?+

No. You can self-refer. If you're already under a GP or psychiatrist, therapy runs alongside β€” not in place of β€” medical care.

How long does psychotherapy take?+

Focused work often shifts in 6–12 sessions. Deeper or trauma-based work usually takes longer β€” reviewed every few sessions.

Is it confidential?+

Yes. Strict BACP-aligned confidentiality; the only exceptions are risk to life, court order or safeguarding β€” always discussed with you first where possible.

Ready to take the first step?
